Open House
The Fort Smith Trolley Museum Open House is held annually on the
first Sunday in May. The next Open House will be Sunday, May 6th, 2007 from
11a.m. until 5 p.m. All visitors are able to ride the trolley for free, and
enjoy the free snacks and drinks!
In past years, the FSTM open house has featured displays such as: the Hot
Springs Street Railway streetcar #50 (nearing complete reconstruction); ham
radios; antique radios, cars, motors and tractors; and of course the artwork,
photography and other exhibits in the Museum itself.
The Arkansas & Missouri Railroad generally provides excursion trips in
its restored passenger cars pulled by a steam locomotive. In 2006, several
shorter trips were taken, rather than a single extended ride. Tickets for the
train are available at the event.
