Over the years, museum volunteers painted the streetcar by hand using a foam brush to minimize brush strokes.  This procedure never produced the desired appearance the museum wanted.  In January, the decision was made to remove all the old paint on the car down to bare metal, and use a professional spray paint to enhance the car’s looks.

Chris Spain, David Kerr, and Jess Lewis took on the task of sanding the car body, and Chris professionally painted it.  Window trim, under carriage, and the roof will also be repainted.  Estimated completion is March 1st.
